Mark Yorek, Ph.D.  has been an active investigator operating an independent research laboratory in the VA for twenty-four years. Dr.Yorek's research interests focus on diabetes causes and treatments. Currently, Dr. Yorek is serving as Associate Chief of Staff for Research at the Iowa City Veterans Affairs Medical Center as well as serving on various scientific peer review and editorial boards.

 

 

Kari Steinkamp is the administrative officer for research and development at the Iowa City Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Kari has been working in the Iowa City VA research office since 2006. She recieved her bachelors in business from Iowa State University and her Masters in Healthcare Administration and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Iowa in 2006.
